The food here is AMAZING. I have wanted to return back since the second I left. It is a pricey meal but the quality and ingredients make it worthwhile. The service was great and I appreciated the distance between tables. The lobster pasta was spicy!

A bit out of the way but certainly worth visiting. The gnocchi was probably the best I had in my life, flavour was exquisite and I really liked the texture which felt like each piece was individually fried. The rest of the meal was also great, liked the pear salad and the bluefin tuna as well. I do think the stake tartare is a bit too thick on the cream and a bit of a miss, but still overall really loved our meal there.

Really a fantastic spot for dinner in Boston. Very nice, modern and comfy setting in the Design Center. Staff was excellent and attentive, drinks were well made - and the food is best in class. We stuck with four small plates for two people - and we’re very pleased! Will be back!

Delicious food met with even better service! We sat at the bar top and the bartender was very knowledgeable and attentive. He recommended this drink (pictured, but cannot remember the name!) and it was unlike anything I’ve had in a good way! We tried the dips/spreads with fresh pita, chickpea panisse fries, and crispy kale salad. Everything was so tasty and I can’t wait to come back and try more.

Lovely lunch at Chickadee! Food is delish and the cocktail is amazing as well. They do a great job in showcasing a lot of the natural flavor from the different ingredients. No one flavor is too overbearing that the subtle flavors have place to shine. Service was also really great! Duck sausage and the fried fish pita are probably our favorite. Will definitely come back!

I was surprised how excellent this restaurant was. We saw it on our way to pick up a car, and decided to stop by on a whim. We ordered a pasta dish (red wine radiatore) and one meat (Duck Three Ways). Both were absolutely exceptionally interesting. Hard to describe but delicious, good texture, packed interesting flavors. We were surprised how wonderful it all was. Highly recommended.

Unassuming, posh and a lovely surprise. This is elevated cuisine. A short walk from our hotel, Hampton Inn Boston Seaport. We were lucky it was open as a lot of restaurants are closed on Sunday. The hostesses were lovely - we didn't have reservations but we were early (5:30pm) so we got seated a "bar" table that was spacious and might have been nicer for partial privacy then the main dining room. We ordered the cheddar biscuits with honey butter, crispy fried chicken, lobster campanelle, whole roasted redfish with native clams shishito zhoug, seared sea scallops with asparagus tangerine toasted hazelnuts and slow-roasted porchetta with broccoli di ciccio, peanuts, fresno chilies, colatura. The crispy fried chicken and sea scallops were favorites - it was a competitive sport to get a bite! The lobster campanelle was rich and tasty but could use a presentation facelift - the odd chips sticking out of it did not improve the appearance. The whole roasted redfish was good but we would probably try a different dish next time. The porchetta could be skipped although its side salad was very good with a lot of flavor and textures. And the cheddar biscuits were a nice way to start but the honey butter was too sweet and when did it become a trend to charge $12 for bread/biscuits?!? This is a high end (no judgement) restaurant - we thoroughly enjoyed our food experience here.

I took a star off because we got seated at the worst table imaginable and the service wasn't that wonderful. Re the table. we couldn't see anything because we were behind a giant pole (see photo). And re the service, our waitress was fine - she was attentive but had no personality. It isn't the end of the world because we got everything we needed in a timely fashion but was just an odd experience. The food was good. We got the red wine radiatore pasta and the lobster campanelle pasta. We liked the radiatore better

I was in town for a conference in the Seaport and wanted to find an outstanding restaurant for my first meal. After reviewing several sites, plus Yelp, I selected Chickadee. What caught my attention was several of the principals had worked at Barbara Lynch's No 9 Park and Chickadee's amazing 4.5 score on Yelp. It's self-described as a New England-born and Mediterranean-inspired restaurant. There were plenty of reservations available mid-afternoon Tuesday on Resy, which I found surprising for a great restaurant. I selected a 6pm reservation. Having read an extensive review of Chickadee in Boston Magazine, I was ready to order quickly. I started with two signatures: the Smoked Sea Trout Dip and the Crispy Hen of the Woods. The Trout is buried under a layer of light hollandaise-like sauce. The Hen of the Woods mushrooms look like a crazy Bloomin' Onion atop a thick puree of potatoes, walnuts and garlic. Both were excellent and so unique. I was debating between the Spring Onion Spetzle or the Lobster Campanelle pasta. I asked Santiago, my server, which I should pick and he suggested the Lobster. He said the Lobster is somewhat spicy, with Calabrian chili. I asked for it to be served on the side. I can't put my finger on what I disliked about the pasta. It was bland. And the chili sauce was too spicy to be added. You'd think with lobster, it had to be good. I ate about a quarter of my plate and it just wasn't working for me. I set the dish aside and waited for Santiago's return. He asked me if I wanted to box it, and I said no. What I found odd is why he wouldn't have asked if there was an issue with the pasta. But since he didn't ask me, he'll need to read this review. After two amazing starters, I was disappointed with my entrée. As I walked out, the two managers thanked me for visiting, but didn't ask how my meal was. I don't know what would have happened if I told Santiago I didn't like the pasta. Ditto for the managers. Maybe they would have found some accommodation. Regardless, I tipped Santiago 20% and called it a night. I was in the restaurant for one hour.

I always forget how good Chickadee really is! I've been here three times and each time I have loved it. This time we tried the fried chicken which was really tender, juicy and crispy. We loved how the spices tasted Mediterranean. The chickpea fries were so good! Get this. It's crispy on the outside but almost a creamy mash like texture on the inside. The lobster campanelle is an all time favorite. Service was lovely, we came on a Saturday without reservations and it was pretty crowded but did not have to wait at all.
